Studies on Washability Characteristics of Low-Volatile Indian Coking Coal by Differential Crushing

چکیده
The effect of differential crushing on liberation characteristics has been studied for a low volatile coking coal Indian origin through washability studies. Two parameters, namely “Index Washability” (IW) and “Near Gravity Material Index” (NGMI), are used to describe the ease washability. ROM Coal is crushed four different top sizes namely, 75mm, 25mm, 13mm 6mm.On basis calculated IW it observed that relative increases with decrease in size. From values may be said this can economically beneficiated using gravity process after -6mm NGMI values, critical specific gravities have estimated -75 mm, -25mm, -13mm -6 mm 1.65, 1.68, 1.53 1.58 respectively. These suggest separation at range most difficult task methods. analysis, coals -25 & identical (≈ 0.18) 17% clean ash content. This suggests similar degree difficulty, produced from these two sizes. In order increase yield ash, decision blending size need taken.

Preliminary Beneficiation and Washability Studies on Ghouzlou's Low-Ash Coal Sample
In the present research work, a low-ash coal, from Ghouzlou deposit in Iran, with an average ash content of 12% was subjected to some beneficiation experiments such as heavy media separation and flotation. Sieve analysis showed that 62.3% of the coal sample with the size of +2 mm had around 7.3% ash contents. Also, heavy media tests carried out on five size fractions revealed that by setting th...
متن کاملThe Effects of Volatile Materials of Non-coking Coal on the Reduction of Hematite
One of the most important methods to produce sponge iron is coal based reduction of iron ore. Direct reduction methods based on coal are being improved due to the abundance of coal sources and its lower cost in comparison with natural gas. Volatile materials in coal play an important role in the reduction of iron oxides. In this study, noncoking coal with high volatile materials from Iran and c...

The volatile matter of non-coking coal was used for the reduction of hematite in argon atmosphere at nonisothermal condition. A thermal gravimeter furnace enable to use an 80 mm-height crucible was designed for the experiments to measure the weight changes of about 10 grams samples. A two-layered array of coal and alumina and four-layered array of iron oxide, alumina, coal and alumina was u...

متن کاملStudies on Co2 Gasification Reactivity of High Ash Indian Coal
Coal is a prime energy source in India and will continue to play its role for coming several decades. However, our indigenous coal suffers from high ash content and present coal based conventional power generation technologies have several drawbacks such as, lower efficiency, environmental loading and damages thereof. Herein the importance of gasification lies because coal gasification is a mea...
